Hello everyone! My name is Shannon Hughes, and I am the owner of this little creative space on the web. I like to think of myself as a great mother to my son Jacob, and his soon to be here sister, as well as a wonderful girlfriend to my handsome hubby Paul.
I love cooking for my family. I love being able to control what goes in our bodies and where it comes from. These recipes are mostly child friendly, if they are too spicy just know you can OMIT spice, or just tone it down. My son has been eating our meals since he started eating solid foods. (His favourite is basil pesto pasta with chicken!)
One of the things I love most in the world is cooking. I have only worked in one restaurant in my life, and the rest of my time cooking has been in my own kitchen. I have had many disasters, and I have had many accomplishments with my own dishes and recipes! I cook every day, so I am practicing every day to be better at what I do. I would really like to share my tried and true recipes with the rest of the world. I want to show everyone that you can have fresh, delicious and easy meals without having to omit anything from your diet. Obviously if you’re allergic, then that is a whole different story – But for those who are allergic to dairy, gluten, etc these recipes are easy to adapt to whatever you need them to be. That’s the beauty of cooking, it’s hard to mess it up because it IS so versatile.
